Small Groups

After Rooted, Small Groups are where deeper relationships are built, faith is strengthened, and life is lived in authentic community.

  • What’s a Small Group?

Small Groups are the next step after Rooted—designed to help you keep growing in faith and community. 🙌

In a Small Group, you’ll go deeper into God’s Word, practice spiritual rhythms together, and be encouraged to live out your faith in everyday life. Through real relationships and meaningful conversations, you’ll be equipped to make a difference in your world.

It’s not just about meeting—it’s about growing, supporting one another, and becoming more like Jesus together.

  • Do I need to join Rooted before joining a Small Group?

No, you’re welcome to join a Small Group without attending Rooted first—but if a Rooted group is available, we highly recommend starting there.

Rooted helps lay the spiritual groundwork and introduces core practices that Small Groups build upon, making your group experience even more meaningful.

  • What do Small Groups do?

Small Groups meet regularly—in homes, coffee shops, parks, and everywhere in between—to grow in faith and community. Together, they dive into God’s Word using our weekly sermon discussion questions, continue practicing the spiritual rhythms introduced in Rooted, and make an impact through local outreach.

  • How often do Small Groups meet?

Small Groups typically meet weekly or bi-weekly, with various days and times to fit your schedule.
Most groups gather for 10-week sessions, with built-in breaks throughout the year to rest and reset.

  • What resources do you offer Small Group Leaders?

A lot! We’re here to support you every step of the way. From weekly leader emails and to group content, coaching, and regular Leader Gatherings—our team is committed to equipping you to lead well.

Topical Groups

Grow in specific areas of your faith and navigate life’s challenges with the support of others.

  • What’s a Topical Group?

At next step if you're looking to grow in a specific area of life or faith. 💬

Whether it’s navigating grief, walking through divorce, pursuing financial freedom, strengthening your marriage, or tackling tough questions about faith—these groups offer focused support and biblical guidance.

Some are small groups, some are classes—but all provide a safe space to explore, heal, and grow alongside others who understand.

It’s more than just learning—it’s about finding hope, building community, and experiencing transformation through Christ.

  • Can I join a Topical Group if I’m not in a Small Group yet?

Yes, you’re totally welcome to jump into a Topical Group—even if you’re not in a Small Group yet.

Topical Groups are short-term spaces where people come together around a shared topic. You’ll find encouragement, practical tools, and meaningful conversations.

While you will find connection here, we also encourage everyone at Foundations to consider joining a Small Group for deeper, ongoing community.

  • How often do Topical Groups get together?

    That depends on the group!

Most Topical Groups meet for a set number of weeks during specific seasons throughout the year—usually once a week. Be sure to check the group details for exact dates and times.

  • What else can I be part of?

If you’ve already experienced Rooted, Small Groups, or Topical Groups—or if you’re simply looking for new ways to get involved—your next step might be joining a Serve Team!

It’s a meaningful way to use your gifts, make a difference, and help others feel at home, all while building deeper connections within the church.

In addition to those groups, we also offer Common Interest Activities—fun, social spaces where people connect through shared hobbies and activities.

The Groups Team 👋

Our Groups Team helps create spaces where people feel seen, known, and loved as they grow in faith together.

They support group leaders, foster meaningful connection, and help others take next steps—so that no one walks through life alone.
