A special moment where parents commit to raising their child to know and follow Jesus. While salvation is a personal decision each child will make when they're ready, this dedication marks a parent’s promise to lay a strong foundation of faith through love, teaching, and example.
Living out your relationship with Jesus in everyday life—showing your child what it looks like to love and follow Him.
Helping your child grow up surrounded by a Christ-centered community where they can build meaningful relationships and find belonging.
Taking the lead in your child’s spiritual growth—through prayer, conversations, and creating space to know and trust Jesus.

We believe child dedication is more than a one-time moment—it’s a partnership. That’s why we invite all parents to attend a short class before the ceremony. In it, we’ll walk through what this commitment means, share ways we want to support you as parents, and help you take the next step with confidence.
Child dedication is open to parents, legal guardians, and foster parents who are ready to commit to raising their child in a Christ-centered home.
Yes! Children from birth up to age 5 are eligible for dedication. This ceremony is designed for families who want to publicly commit to raising their little one to know and follow Jesus.
There’s no dress code at Foundations. Most people keep it casual—jeans, t-shirts, hats—it’s all welcome. Come as you are!
You don’t need to be a member or regular attender, but we do encourage you to engage in the life of the church. Being part of a Christ-centered community is a key part of raising your child in faith.
Yes. At least one parent or guardian must be a committed follower of Jesus and actively living out their faith. We believe child dedication is a reflection of your desire to lead your child toward Jesus—starting with your own example.
If you're a single parent, you're welcome to dedicate your child—provided you're not living with a partner outside of marriage. Because we strive to honor God in everything we do, we ask that unmarried couples living together make changes to their relationship (either by choosing to marry or adjusting their living arrangement) before participating in child dedication.
We know nobody’s perfect—every one of us is growing in grace. These dedication guidelines are rooted in Scripture and our desire to honor God through integrity and obedience. We're here to walk with you, answer questions, and support you in your journey.
